This week, our CFI interviews continue with Michael De Dora, the director for CFI’s Office of Public Policy and the organization’s representative to the United Nations.   In the second half of the show, Mike joins Sam and Becky to talk about the Pierce County meeting last week and Sylvia Browne.

Missed the live show, had to listen to the podcast. Good show — the only thing I would mention is that separation of church and state isn’t strictly in the interests of atheists. In fact, many theists want it just as badly as you do. Nobody wants a state-instituted religion! So to say on the air that (and I hope I’m not misquoting you), many people got up to speak on behalf of the atheist cause was slightly incorrect.

Also, on an entirely different topic, since this is “Ask An Atheist,” here’s a question I’d like to see answered on your show. Is there any difference between the terms atheist, humanist, secularist, freethinker (a term I find vaguely insulting, as if others cannot or do not think freely), and any other terms your community uses? I would like a better understanding of the terminology.
