A few weeks ago, listener Peggy from Kent, Washington challenged Ask an Atheist listeners to financially support the program and help keep us on the air. Your response has humbled us and we want to continue to milk
this challenge and beg for money.

So far, we have gotten contributions from more than 20 listeners from all over the United States and abroad. Thank you. We know that this isn’t the easiest time to spend cash on any cause, and recognizing this, your generosity is all the more appreciated.
We want to thank everyone who’s helped us out so far…

As we’ve said on the air and in our occasional fund-raising pleas, staying on the radio is important to us. If we want to effectively become a part of the national discussion, battle misconceptions about non-believers and expose a general audience to opinions often excluded from most media, we need to be in a broadcast medium.
Sam and I are pretty much the sales department here at Ask an Atheist and selling advertising spots for an atheist radio to local businesses isn’t the cushy job you probably imagine it is. But we try to channel our experiences constructively and remind ourselves that this is why we have a show in the first place.
Unfortunately, the reality is that despite the encouraging support of our advertisers and listeners, we’re not yet at the point that this show can pay for its own $200 an episode price tag. Please considering clicking the Donate button at the top left portion of our site and helping us reach that day.
Also, if you run a business and would like to buy an advertising slot on “Ask an Atheist,” I can assure you that we have the lowest prices on the radio. A 30 second spot costs only fifteen dollars. If you buy six or more spots, we’ll even produce it for you for free.
And if you own a comic book shop in the United States and you buy regular ads with us, I will move my weekly pull list to your shop and buy comics exclusively with you for as long as you buys ads with us.
