    • I’ve always thought it strange that some believers say “You will burn in Hell because you’re an atheist and God will punish you”. Well, that’s not really that person’s decision, is it?

Maybe it’s because I grew up with a very humanistic form of Christianity that stresses that God can forgive you no matter what you do and that He will if you regret your bad deeds, but I feel like a lot of believers make assumptions on God’s behalf. A LOT of assumptions – not just that because they hate atheists, God does too, but that He will reward them for being hateful even though that goes against many of Jesus’ teachings.

If there is a God, I really hope that there’s a lot of fundamentalists that are going to get an earful while atheists who have shown healthy scepticism and good attitude towards all, including fundies, get a free pass. :p

I’ll miss CH – watching and hearing him own his opponents was always a joy (and if him being too vocal got to be too much, well, I take a break and come back when I need another dose of great debating).
