Agnostic is Not a Middle Ground Love the show I just wanted to comment on the confusion with theist, agnostic, and atheist when the caller asked if you could use a -1,0,+1 scale to place these beliefs. The answer is very simply no. Agnostic is NOT the middle ground between theist and atheist. Atheism is the lack of belief in any gods. Theism is the belief in one or more gods. An Agnostic in the general use of the word by most people is an Atheist . Saying “I don’t know if a god exists” means you don’t believe in a god ie: an Atheist .

Usually the use of the word Agnostic is mistakenly used by the spineless and or ignorant to not take sides and to avoid offending anyone when in reality they have actually admitted to being an Athiest.
