Sam, Becky, and Kent from Backyard Skeptics meet up in Orange, CA to talk about the freethought community in southern California, Ray Comfort, and Catholic hospitals in both California and Washington.   In the third segment, we start talking about death, dying, and funerals.  

Today, we answer the leading question every journalist has been asking: Atheist Church? Becky and Sam catch up with Sanderson Jones, comedian and one of the brains behind the Sunday Assembly. He talks about how he wants to grow, and takes Sam’s gentle-but-insistent questions about dogma and authority head on.

Sam and Becky start their Western US tour in Sacramento with local activists Tom Ikelman and Judy Saint. We discuss Intelligent Design college professors, God on our currency, a personal response to the fall of Prop 8 & DOMA, and audience questions.

In a few hours, Sam is hitting the road to begin the tour. But before he leaves, Mike and Nick join him to talk about some interesting news in the last few days, and catch up on emails.   Additionally, we talk with Sunsara Taylor of Equal Time for Freethought on WBAI, about the upcoming Abortion Rights Freedom Ride.
