Ask an Atheist with Sam Mulvey

Episode 7: Conspiracy Theories

[bliptv AYHxiG0A]

Case and Mike discuss the nature of conspiracy theories, and why most of them fail the test of evidence, with a focus on the TV show “Conspiracy Theory” with Jessie Ventura and a pile of actors-cum-researchers with unknown credentials. Some time is also given to the fading birther theory, and the recent counter protest of the Westboro Baptist Church by the attendees of the San Diego ComiCon.

We had a series of new and interesting technical failures and issues while recording this episode, and while most of them managed to get fixed in the literal seconds before we went live, we apologize for the remaining sound issues with this recording.

About the Author: Sam Mulvey

I think someone already guessed it. See part 1 of whatever on Youtube. I think we should send them a banana as a prize for guessing correctly!

I’m glad that these intellectual powerhouses have revealed that such a horrible chemical exists in our food.
Perhaps next they’ll work on getting rid of all of that dihydrogen monoxide that results in the deaths of many people every year.

Mike Gillis

Dihydrogen Monoxide killed hundreds of thousands of people in coastal regions of southeast Asia in 2005. And our oceans are full of the stuff!

When will the killing end?!

One of my coworkers believes Obama is the anti-christ! It was so weird because she seems normal otherwise. I wonder if there is an anti-Bhudda. Or an anti-Muhamed.
